Australia’s National Walking Football Championship
WFFA Cup 2026

Bringing Australia’s walking football community onto one national stage — the WFFA Cup 2026 unites States and Territories in a landmark celebration of participation, pride and pathway.

Overview

The WFFA Cup 2026 is the inaugural National State & Territory Walking Football Championship conducted under the governance of Walking Football Federation Australia (WFFA).

This representative tournament establishes Australia’s formal State vs State competition framework and strengthens the national pathway toward international selection.

Hosted in Sydney on 10–11 October 2026, the event will bring together representative teams from across Australia in a structured, transparent and inclusive national championship.

This is not a club tournament.
This is State representation.

What Makes the WFFA Cup Significant?

  • Australia’s first formal National State & Territory Championship

  • A structured and transparent representative pathway

  • Alignment with international walking football standards

  • Dedicated women’s divisions across three age groups

  • Hosting rights awarded for the 2028 WFFA Cup

The WFFA Cup strengthens national cohesion and supports sustainable development of walking football across all jurisdictions.

Competition Categories

The tournament will be contested in six divisions:

  • Men 60+

Each category crowns a State Champion.

Representative Pathway

All players participating in the WFFA Cup will be observed for future national selection consideration.

This includes the 2027 World Nations Cup Foreveroos squad selection process.

  • Age eligibility is formally recorded
