The FIWFA World Nations Cup is the pinnacle of international Walking Football competition—an 11-day celebration of skill, sportsmanship, and global unity through the fastest-growing senior sport in the world. The 2025 tournament will be held in the beautiful Mediterranean town of Torrevieja, on Spain’s Costa Blanca, with matches hosted at the world-class Torrevieja Sports City.
Organised by the Federation of International Walking Football Associations (FIWFA), the World Nations Cup brings together men’s and women’s national teams across multiple age divisions. It provides a platform not only for elite competition, but also for cultural exchange, lifelong friendships, and the promotion of active, healthy ageing.
This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet, with countries from every continent expected to participate. FIWFA continues to expand its reach globally, and the 2025 edition will include men’s 50s, 60s, and 70s, alongside women’s 40s, 50s, and 60s, making it the most inclusive tournament to date.
Torrevieja itself offers a stunning backdrop for the event, known for its beaches, historic salt lakes, and vibrant local culture. The town is a perfect host for players and supporters alike, offering a warm climate, excellent facilities, and a welcoming community.
Australia’s national teams, the Foreveroos , will again proudly compete under the green and gold, having earned their place through nationwide trials and selection. With six teams heading to Spain and over 100 travelling players, coaches, managers and supporters, the Foreveroos represent a passionate and growing movement of Australians redefining what it means to stay active later in life.

Founded by six member nations, including Australia, the Federation of International Walking Football Associations (FIWFA) is dedicated to growing and governing walking football worldwide. FIWFA promotes inclusivity, safety, and international cooperation—providing structure, rankings, rules, and events for players aged 40 and up. The World Nations Cup is its premier event, hosted every two years.
