The inaugural FIWFA World Nations Cup took place in August 2023 at the prestigious St George’s Park, the home of England’s national football teams. As a founding member nation of FIWFA, Australia proudly participated with the Foreveroos’ 50s and 60s Walking Football teams wearing the iconic green and gold. This milestone event followed the Matildas’ inspiring campaign at the Women’s World Cup, continuing Australia’s strong representation on the global stage.
Fast forward to 2025, the FIWFA World Nations Cup has expanded to include Men’s 70s and Women’s 40s, 50s, and 60s divisions.
Trials will shortly be underway to select the Foreveroo 2025 squad in the following divisions:
- Men’s: 50s, 60s, 70s
- Women’s: 40s, 50s, 60s
The event will be held as two tournaments in 2025, October 21-24 and October 28-31, at Torrevieja Sports City, 40 mins south of Alicante Airport in Spain.
